The spine is part of the central nervous system which is responsible for all of the body’s functions. Any injury or inflammatio in the spine due to wrong posture or lifestyle or even stress, can affect the nervous system and lead to many diseases. Modern medicine can only treat the signs and symptoms of such problems.But if we do not work on the root cause which majorly is lifestyle and postural issues then we are inviting many health problems.Very few people realize the role of the spine in physical and mental health. Thousands of years ago Yogis gave great importance to the development and protection of the spine. A healthy spine is one which is erect and flexible. And so it is essential to maintain the correct posture while sitting,standing,walking, etc. It also has spiritual significance as there are many energy centers located in the spinal cord protected by the spine.
