The love and hate relationship with sweets!

Being the foodie i am as a child I had no sense of my portions. I would end up having 15-20 pcs of these gulab jamuns in a day. Once I started studying nutrition, eating so many gulab jamuns made me feel guilty, there was no thrill and only fear. But after years of learning and practice this is what I learned. - Guilt is not an ingredient, fear-mongering of foods only makes it worse. - You never really enjoy the sweets, there is binge eating followed by a bucket load of regret. So here's what I did and you can try it too! - Never sit with sweets when you are hungry, do not replace it with main meals. - You love something ?! Just appreciate, take it on a plate and relish each bite. - Do not manipulate yourself saying i will eat slowly so that i can eat less, instead i will eat slowly so that i can actually enjoy and avoid falling in the trap of binge eating and guilt. Lastly, keep checking with your body, because you eat to satisfy physiological hunger not emotional hunger❤️❤️

These are usually really soft, it's hard to stop eating specially if you have a sweet tooth 😬

My mom believes in bulk cooking 😂 p.s. she did send some to the neighbours and yes instead of sitting with a big bowl i took 2 pcs at a time and enjoyed them
