Are you eating for 2 people?

Pregnant? Congratulations!! But hold on, have you started eating for 2 people? Well, this is a major myth that once pregnant you need to double up the amount of food you eat to suffice the calorie needed by your little one. While it is true that the caloric requirement of the body does increase when pregnant but instead of doubling up the food you eat, eat more nutrient dense foods like fruits and vegetables, soups and salads, nuts and seeds, dals and sprouts, curd and buttermilk and stick to whole grains.
