As a food 🍱 lover, the thought of fasting used to give me chills. However, as someone who likes to push my limits, I decided to give intermittent fasting a try 🙄while listening to my body. Unlike traditional methods of weight loss such as counting calories, intermittent fasting focuses on when you eat rather than what you eat. Calorie deficit involves consuming fewer calories than you burn each day, whereas intermittent fasting restricts the time frame in which you eat, with the goal of giving your body time to burn stored fat. I follow the 16:8 method. While our bodies have evolved to go without food for extended periods, the first two weeks of my journey were 😓challenging as I experienced intense hunger and cravings. However, I persevered and eventually experienced a sense of accomplishment 🏆 Before starting intermittent fasting, consider your body, end goal, schedule, medical conditions etc. PS Please 🙏 consult your doctor or Dietian before trying IF.
