Extended Hand to Big Toe Pose (Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana) is a powerful balancing posture that builds strength and flexibility through full body activation. Benefits: - Improves balance & focus - Strengthens back & arm muscles • Stretches hip, hamstrings, & adductors Balance on one leg bending the other into the midline. Take your peace fingers and wrap them around the big toe, extending the leg open and engaging the entire body by pressing into all four corners of the planted foot. The extended knee may be bent to bring more stability and comfort to to hips, hamstrings and adductors. This same leg can be extended in front rather than to the side. You may use a yoga strap or grab your knee if the foot isn't in reach just yet. As always, listen to your body and see what works for you. This pose can also be done reclined.
