With yoga you learn being mindful with every action of yours. Eating mindfully happened to me when I wasn't calculating my calorie intake, rather started to understand my moods and my cravings and gave a thought to decide what is good for me, what isn't. I feel energetic when I eat more greens, raw veggies, I feel great when I eat dal chawal at home but when out at restaurant with family & friends got to eat food that made me feel bloated & heavy. About 4 yrs ago I started noticing my mood, the way my stomach feels after eating out happily but after getting back to routine I would feel low on energy & lethargic. So started ordering healthy options at restaurants, asked them use less oil and sometimes I even choose healthy restaurants & it was a great change to feel good even after celebrations.Start observing after every meal how you feel and keep a track of it, all bodies are unique, choose what makes you feel at ease.This festive season start eating healthy; mindfully.
