When Should You Prepare To Go To The Hospital For Delivery👶

If it's your first pregnancy, the wait between early labor, active labor & delivery can be long in most cases😮‍💨 First of all your water might not break, but contractions can start. Keep a timer handy for this time, observe the gaps between two contractions & the duration of each of them ⏰ The key is to observe a 5-1-1 pattern of contractions. Meaning you're getting contractions every 5 mins, which are painful & lasting for 1 minute, and are consistent for at least 1 hour 👩‍⚕ During early stages of labor the pain can be less intense. Some people might lose their mucus plug. At this stage you don't need to go to the hospital, but stay connected with your doctor & midwife 📳 The next stage is active labor, where you can get more dilated up to 6 cm Or more. If you're noticing the 5-1-1 pattern or all the fluid has come out, it's time to go to the hospital 🏥 Do discuss with your doctor about all this just to stay safe & do keep your hospital bags prepared 🤗
