Oil for cooking
Which oil is more suited for general day-to-day cooking and why?
Hi Gurveen! Any oil that's neutral in taste & has a high smoking point can be used for cooking, for example- mustard, rice bran, soybean, sunflower, safflower, canola, olive, grapeseed, peanut oil etc. Now some ghee can also be used especially on your chapati Or dal Or sometimes rice. Avoid using Coldpressed or extra virgin oils for high temperature cooking. Rotating your cooking oils can be great for improving your overall health status! And definitely keep a safe limit of total oil intake per day (approx 3-6 tsp).
People do say refined oil is not... good... N sunflower oil is refined oil...so...it's a bit confusing ...pl guide through this!!!
