Having Difficulty In Losing Weight? Have You Checked Your Vitamin-D levels ❓

Many studies state that, vitamin-D deficiency is associated with a higher risk of obesity & obesity related complications.✅ The reasons are simple: 📍Low levels of vitamin-D can alter the storage & formation of fat in the body. 📍 It also regulates the secretions of serotonin & testosterone hormone, deficiency of both of these can lead to difficulties in losing weight. 📍Vitamin-D works closely with calcium & regulates cortisol release. Increased levels of this stress hormone can cause fat gain. 🚨Now all this doesn't mean that if you're looking for weight loss you should start taking vitamin-D supplements without a prescription. Always check your levels first & consult your doctor or nutritionist before starting. Here are some Vitamin-D rich foods that you can include in your diet ⬇️

@Parul Khullar Mushrooms are the only plant based source of vitamin-D other than the fortified sources. But yes commercially grown mushrooms which are produced without much sunlight are not very good sources of vitamin-D. Organic/wild mushroom varieties which are grown with the help of Sunlight, are pretty good sources of vitamin-D (D2 to be exact). Just like humans mushrooms also synthesize their own vitamin-D with the help of UV rays. Hope it clears your doubt.
