Is milk really healthy?

In good old days when there was no pollution, no explosion, we used to get “SHUDH MILK”- no hormones, no caustic soda, NOTHING! Now in today’s time, because of increase in demand cows are being injected with growth hormones to increase milk production. We are indirectly ingesting this growth hormone and with the current lifestyle and these additional hormones, the rhythm of our natural hormone system is disturbed, hence we are facing issues like hypothyroidism, PCOS, gastric disorders and much more. Well this is not the only reason for hormonal disorders, there are many others as well, this is just one of the many aspects…!

Very true. Adding to this, milk is not the only source of calcium, which is often why we are told to drink milk. Foods like ragi, sesame seeds, legumes, curd, paneer, nuts and some leafy greens also contain good amount of calcium.

@Abhilasha Sharma isn't curd n paneer byproduct of milk then that also contains these hormones right ? This might affect the body as well ?

Very valid question Supriya, if the curd and paneer is set using the same milk, it will surely have the same effect as milk. However, procuring your paneer and curd from an establishment that ensures adherence to FSSAI and other regulatory bodies can ensure that the adulteration is minimal. Hence making the foods more safer to consume.
