I since a very young age developed taste for tea without sugar so I don't stress about it. However if you love your tea with sugar moderation is the key. 1 tsp sugar in 1 cup tea is fine!

Honestly chai is not bad as long as you don't do more than 2 cups a day and keep a gap between your tea and main meals. Baaki elaichi/adrak/masala sabb enjoy Karo!

πŸ˜€I was of the same opinion few years back. But I realised that even a cup of simple warm water or some spice infused water like cumin or ginger or coriender seeds etc instead of morning tea makes me feel much lighter and refreshed. Moderation is the key. You can have 1 or two small cups of tea and if it's sugarless then nothing like it. Tea does have many antioxidants however as we aren't aware of the milk quality it may affect our digestion if consumed frequently during the day. You can also try having lemon tea once a day.
