Hidden Sugars in Everyday Foods

We all know that too much sugar is bad for our health and we try to avoid it as much as possible. Many regular, everyday foods have a surprisingly high amount of sugar. If you aren't careful about reading the nutrition labels on your food, you may end up eating way more sugar than you ever realized. Some of them are 1. Bread 2. Yogurt 3. Protein bars, breakfast cereals 4. Peanut butter 5. Sauces, condiments and salad dressings Don’t forget to read the nutrition label. Check out how much sugar the product has and how much of it is added sugar. Some of the healthy alternatives that I choose to satisfy sugar cravings are fruits, dates and a few squares of dark chocolate.

@Abhimanyu Sood Yes . Always read the label, checking the ingredients and not just the claims on the front of the packaging, which can be misleading. A protein bar will usually be made with extra sweeteners—even those that claim to be super healthy often use fruit syrups for sweetness that still contain a lot of sugar.
