Why is radish considered a winter superfood?

Radish is a very versatile vegetable, commonly used in soups, stews, salads and as a pickled side dish- truly a staple in Asian cooking. It's considered a winter superfood because - 1) Stimulates digestive fibre 2)Relieves indigestion and bloating 3) Great to pair with heavier foods to help digestion 4)Promotes natural detoxification Just one serving of radish (330g or 10 oz.) Has a very high Vitamin C content, with 124% of an individual's recommended dietary allowance. It's packed with copper, magnesium calcium and vitamin B6 as well.
