salt to taste
½ cup seedless tamarind
½ cup seedless dates
2 cups water (for thinner consistency add 3 cups water)
½ cup jaggery
½ tsp saunf powder
1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder
½ tsp dry ginger powder
½ tsp jeera powder
1 tsp dhaniya powder
In a large kadai add tamarind, dates and jaggery, and 2 cups of water.
Mix and boil the mixture for at least 10 minutes.
Also add saunf powder, dhaniya powder, jeera powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, dry ginger powder, and salt to taste.
Mix and mash tamarind and dates for 3-4 minutes.
Simmer the mixture for 2 minutes.
Later allow the mixture to cool completely.
Now transfer the dates, and tamarind mixture to the mixer and blend into smooth chutney.
Store in a glass bottle
