2 tbsp ghee
4 cups of grated green papaya
1/3rd cup of sugar
½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
2 tablespoons milk powder
12 crushed cashews
Heat ghee in a kadai. Add the finely chopped papaya.
Stir and cook on a low flame for about 15 minutes.
Cook until the papaya will become translucent.
Now add sugar and then stir well. Continue to cook for a further 15-20 minutes on low heat.
Now add in the milk powder little by little & stir in to combine and prevent forming lumps.
Cook for 5 to 6 minutes more till the whole papaya halwa has gotten together and become one whole.
Add cashews and cook for another 2 minutes.
Serve papaya halwa warm or chilled.
