2 tbsp ghee
2 cups diced bottle gourd, peeled
2 tomatoes, puree
1 green chilies, chopped
1 tsp ginger, chopped
black pepper powder to taste
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander powder
coriander leaves for garnishing
Heat the ghee in a pressure cooker, and add cumin seeds.
When they start to splutter, add ginger and green chilies, and saute for one minute.
Add tomato puree, pepper powder, coriander powder, and salt, and saute till to release oil.
Add chopped gourd and 1/2 cup water. Cover with lid and cook till to 4-5 whistles.
Remove from the flame, garnish with coriander, and serve with poori or parathas.
