6 Ingredients


for the patties: 5 to 6 tbsp bread crumbs or add as required, salt as required, 2 to 3 tbsp of oil for frying patties

for mayo dressing: 3 tbsp vegan eggless mayonnaise or vegan mayonnaise, ½ tsp mustard seeds (optional), ½ tsp crushed black pepper, ½ tsp sugar, 2 to 3 pinches of salt, 1 tbsp lemon juice

other ingredients: 4 whole wheat burger buns, 1 medium tomato - thinly sliced, 1 medium cucumber - thinly sliced, 1 medium onion - thinly sliced, 4 to 5 lettuce leaves, 1 tbsp butter or oil – as required for toasting buns

for the patties: 3 medium potatoes - boiled, 1 medium carrot - grated, 8 to 9 french beans - finely chopped, 1/2 cup peas - boiled, ½ cup finely chopped onions

for the patties: 1 tsp finely chopped garlic, 2 tsp finely chopped ginger, 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves, ½ tsp dhaniya powder, ½ tsp jeera powder, ¼ tsp white pepper powder

for the patties (optional ingredients): ½ tsp red chili powder, ½ tsp chaat masala, 1 tsp finely chopped green chilies


For the patties: In a large mixing bowl, mix all the patties ingredients.

Divide this dough into equal portions.

Wet your palms slightly & roll each portion into round balls.

Then flatten them & keep them aside on a plate.

Heat oil on a flat tawa.

Place the patties & cook evenly on both sides until golden brown.

Once the patties are ready, transfer them onto a paper-lined plate & keep them aside.

For the mayonnaise dressing: Take mayonnaise in a small mixing bowl. Add ground mustard seed, freshly crushed black pepper, and lemon juice.

Season with sugar & salt and whisk the dressing very well. Keep aside.

For assembling the burger: Slice each burger bun into equal halves. Spread some butter on each half.

Heat a small pan and toast the butter side.

The buttered side should become lightly crisp and golden. Toast all buns in the same manner.

Now spread the mayonnaise dressing on the crisp side.

Place the vegetable patty.

Top up with sliced veggies like onion slices, tomato slices, or cucumber slices.

Spread some mayonnaise dressing on the second half of the burger bun and top up with some shredded or chopped lettuce or cabbage leaves.

Place the burger buns on top of each other.

Your veggie burger is ready.
