1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1 small bunch of green garlic

5 tomatoes - finely chopped

2 tablespoons oil

1 teaspoon cumin seeds

1 teaspoon mustard seeds

1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds

a pinch of asafoetida

1 tablespoon coriander powder

1.5 teaspoons dried mango powder

1 teaspoon black pepper powder

1 lemon's juice

Method

Place garlic and tomatoes in a mixer jar, add 1 cup of water and grind coarsely. Heat oil in non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, black sesame seeds and asafoetida and sauté for half a minute.

Add the ground mixture and cook on high heat for 10-12 minutes.

Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, dried mango powder and salt and sauté further for a minute. Add black pepper powder and lemon juice and mix well. Cook for 1-2 minutes Cool the chutney, store in a jar and serve as required.
